Daredevil: Born Again will feature Frank Castle!
After months of online speculation, fans are curious about the character’s future in live-action. Jon Bernthal is set to return as the iconic comic character for the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again.
As first reported by THR, Bernthal will be joining Charlie Cox, and Vincent D’Onofrio when they begin shooting the upcoming series this month in New York. No word yet on how much of a role he will play in the series, but fans are already expressing their excitement online.
Bernthal headlined his series on Netflix for two seasons after his well-received first appearance in the second season of Daredevil. With the character’s confirmation, the speculation will now be where he will appear next. The upcoming Thunderbolts film that is currently in pre-production? Could Marvel be leaning toward a Midnight Suns project down the line? Marvel is constantly developing projects, so anything is possible, as Marvel has almost all of their character rights back.
Based on today’s news of Bernthal’s return, it’s safe to assume The Punisher will impact the story. This could also be their way of not letting Bernthal’s return be spoiled via set leaks. Bernthal also has talked about returning to the role in the past when asked in interviews. He spoke about wanting to do it right, and it seems Marvel has an approach he approves of.
