After months of anticipation, Jessica Jones has finally arrived. All 13 episodes of Marvel’s second Netflix series (following the incredible success that was the first season of Daredevil, which launched back in April) debuted at midnight on the West Coast today and are ready to be binged by excited viewers this weekend.
We here at The Marvel Report have already provided extensive Jessica Jones coverage leading up the show’s official premiere date, and we will continue to do so now that the series is finally here. Kicking off our first of many videos, articles, and editorials on Jessica Jones is my and fellow Marvel Reporter Blaise Hopkins’ spoiler-free review of the show’s series premiere. In the video below, Blaise and I discuss what we thought of Jessica Jones‘ first episode and what we’re looking forward to in the following twelve installments, all of which we will also be reviewing, so be sure to keep a look out for those videos as well.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones focuses on Jessica rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective, as she gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City after her short-lived superhero stint comes to a tragic ending. It stars Don’t Trust the B— in Apartment 23‘s Krysten Ritter as the titular hero, Doctor Who‘s David Tennant as Kilgrave,The Good Wife‘s Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Crisis‘ Rachael Taylor as Patricia “Trish” Walker, and Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeryn Hogarth.
