Earlier this week Scottish film poster artist Ciara McAvoy made a very intriguing tweet about a Captain Britain TV show being in development:

McAvoy has been in the industry of designing film posters for years and has painted iconic posters for such films as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Interview with the Vampire, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and most recently X-Men: First Class.
McAvoy has given a few follow up tweets to her explosive 1000th tweet, giving further confirmation to the developing untitled Captain Britain series:

There has been no confirming information to come from producer
Chris Lark or from Marvel TV.
Before now, there have been just the dreams of fans talking about what Marvel properties should be turned into a series-and Captain Britain has been among them.
Captain Britain first appeared in Captain Britain #1, a comic published by MarvelUK and created by Uncanny X-Men writer Chris Claremont.and Herb Trimpe. About a decade later, Captain Britain became part of a team called Excalibur, a group comprised of MarvelUK characters and three X-Men alum: Kitty Pryde, Kurt Wagner, and Rachel Summers. In the decades that follow, Captain Britain has made numerous guest appearances and has had a few of his own titles, the most recent being Captain Britain and MI-13, written by Paul Cornell.
Speaking from personal preference here, I would love to see the Captain Britain of the more recent storylines, over the 1970s and 1980s Captain Britain. This would allow for interaction with his more recent friends and foes, including one of my favorite characters of all-time Pete Wisdom-who might fall into Fox’s ownership due to being a Mutant, but that remains to be seen. A Captain Britain series could also potentially be connected to another Marvel TV series in development, Marvel’s Most Wanted. Lance Hunter’s 616 counterpart was introduced in Captain Britain #19 Hunter also had dealings with MI-13 and really annoyed Pete Wisdom. Will these comic book connections be realized in the TV form? It is currently too early to tell.
