Can we talk about baby Groot clinging onto Star Lord’s leg?

Too. Cute. Lil Groot stole the show in the footage shown this year at San Diego Comic Con which had fans laughing and cheering over his antics. And the best news is, this awesome black and white poster isn’t even the only one we can expect to see. Gunn also tweeted that this is only a teaser poster and we can expect to see more, especially featuring Pom Klemtieff’s Mantis.

But Gunn wasn’t done yet. Shortly after, he released what he called a “sneak peak” of the film on his Facebook page.

Set to “Hooked on a Feeling”, one of the best used songs from the first film, the trailer features some of the footage from the clip shown at SDCC. There is also a funny moment between Star Lord and Drax and some really cool shots of Star Lord’s helmet. There is no date for exactly when we will get a full trailer, but this should help hold us over for now. Besides, Vol. 2 already looks be as funny as the first. One notable thing to mention though, no new characters were shown in either the trailer or on the poster. Curious.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5th, 2017. It stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, as well as newcomers Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Russell.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
