Spider-Man: Homecoming Gets First Trailers

Looks like the third time’s the charm! Marvel and Sony have released not one, but TWO trailers for their highly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming. And they’re pretty amazing. Watch the videos below.

The trailers are laugh out loud funny, with a youthful soundtrack by MGMT and a boyish energy. So far, this looks like everything we could want in a Spider-Man movie. We get a look at Peter’s normal life in school crushing on girls and hanging out with friends, as well as his time spent superheroing with Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark. Just try not having chills watching them team up at the end.

Tom Holland’s version of the web-slinging Peter Parker made his scene stealing debut in Captain America: Civil War. Spider-Man: Homecoming will be his first solo film as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. This might be Holland’s first solo Spidey film, but it is not the only time we’ve seen the character on the big screen. Previously there were three Spider-Man installments starring Tobey Maguire and most recently two The Amazing Spider-Man films with Andrew Garfield.

Holland also posted a brand new picture today from Spider-Man: Homecoming showing off his suit. (And his disregard for keeping his identity a secret?? Dude that’s a train full of people!)

Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts. It stars Holland, along with Downey Jr, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Laura Hallier, Tony Revolori, and Donald Glover. The film swings into theaters on July 7th, 2017.
