Greetings True Believers, we have some good news for all our fellow X-Force fans. According to Collider, Joe Carnahan is currently writing the screenplay for a film based on the team. Comicbook.com is also reporting that he is also signed on for director, but that has yet to be confirmed. For those that don’t know, Mr. Carnahan is a director and writer. He is known for such films as The A-Team, The Grey and Smoking Aces. He also happens to be hot commodity in Hollywood at the moment. He working on the scripts for the Death Wish reboot, the Uncharted film and the third Bad Boys movie. That last one he is also set to direct, along with the American remake of The Raid. Needless to say, he is a busy man.
Currently, outside of Carnahan’s involvement, not much else is known about X-Force film. X-Force has had a long his, going back as far as the 90s. They have had many members over the years. Due to his involvement in the Deadpool sequel, it is safe to assume Cable will probably be in. Depending what direction they go with, Deadpool himself might even be in X-Force. Only time will tell.
Overall, we think Carnahan is a good choice for writing the screenplay. What do you guys think? Would you want Carnahan to also direct? Who would you want to direct? Let us know in the comments below.
