The CW released a trailer for the upcoming DC Comics television series, Black Lightning, starring Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce, at the CW Upfronts today which you can watch below.
“Jefferson Pierce made his choice: he hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with one daughter hell-bent on justice and the other a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend—Black Lightning.”
The CW’s Black Lightning stars Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce, China Anne McClain as Lynn Pierce, Nafessa Williams as Anissa Pierce, and Christine Adams as Lynn Pierce. The show-runners for Black Lightning are Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil, who are producing it together with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. The show is being aimed for series debut in mid-season of 2018.
