We’re roughly six months away from Fox’s New Mutants hitting theaters and it appears that things are wrapping up in Boston. Director Josh Boone (The Fault In Our Stars) revealed the film’s logo in an Instagram post while also announcing that the film is close to wrapping up. This logo is pretty much the exact same one featured in the team’s 80’s comic run (which this film will draw inspiration from) except much bloodier.
It definitely looks like Boone wasn’t kidding when he referred to the spin-off as a a “full-fledged horror movie set within the X-Men universe”. We likely won’t have long to wait until we get our first look at the project with less than six months until it hits theaters. Check out the director’s post below and let us know what you think about it in the comments section afterwards.
An adaptation of the New Mutants comic books, this X-Men cinematic universe installment follows five new mutants who are held in a secret facility against their will. Together, they must fight the dangers of their powers and deal with their troubled pasts, if they are to save themselves.
New Mutants is set to hit theaters on April 13, 2018.
