Marvel announces an Old Man Logan prequel centered on Hawkeye. That’s right! Hawkeye is going to be the main focus of an Old Man Logan prequel series. The comic series will take place five years before Old Man Logan and will be titled Old Man Hawkeye. Ethan Sacks, Daily News Reporter, will write the 12 issue mini series while Marco Checchetto will be the artist for the book. News comes via Comic Book Resources.
“In this story, [Hawkeye]’s losing his vision and that sort of forces him to confront something really horrible that happened to him personally 45 years ago, and go on his own hero’s journey while he still can. It’s very much like a ticking clock that’s forcing him into action.” -Sacks to New York Daily News.
Hawkeye losing his vision? Man, that sounds like a bad bag for Clint. Marvel’s Editor In Chief, Axel Alonso, also commented on the upcoming series. He’s what he had to say:
“Old Man Hawkeye is, on its own terms, an epic story. Readers will gain insight into previously established characters, explore new corners of the Wasteland, meet new characters, and discover exciting Easter eggs all throughout Clint’s journey.”
