In today’s “unexpected piece of news”, Deadline is reporting that 20th Century Fox is developing a Multiple Man spin-off film with James Franco set to star as Jamie Madrox as well as produce. The project is being developed by the studio with Simon Kinberg set to produce with a screenplay from Wonder Woman writer Allan Heinberg. The outlet reports that Franco and his younger brother Dave initially met with Kinberg about starring together in the drama, The Hardy Men which is an adult take on The Hardy Boys but it then lead to the producer pitching the project to Franco.
This is just one of many spin-offs being developed by the studio which currently has The Untitled Deadpool Sequel, The New Mutants, X-Men: Dark Phoenix on the way as well as Gambit, X-Force and the recently revealed X-23 spin-off in various stages of production. It’s definitely looking like Fox is going all out when it comes to their X-properties regardless of rumors that Disney is looking to purchase the studio.
