The Writers
Noor Ahmed
I wanted to pick a favorite character, episode or moment from Agents of SHIELD and I found myself lost, there is far too much awesomeness to choose from, so instead I decided to talk about my favorite thing about the show…the writing!
Yes, it’s cheating, because writing covers all the great moments and character but it is truly what draws me to this show, there is elegance and subtlety to it that I don’t find in other shows, it constantly evolves and continues to surprise me, not only with the twists and turns but the small character moments too. All the characters (be it show regulars or extras) feel like living breathing people, the dialogue is never pretentious, unrealistic or talking down to the audience. The show treats me as a smart viewer, capable of connecting dots on my own, which I infinitely appreciate.
So here is a shoutout to my real heroes (the ones I can remember): Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Jeff Bell, D.J. Doyle, Sharla Oliver, James C. Oliver, Brent Fletcher, Drew Greenberg, Craig Titley, Lauren Lefranc, Lilla Zuckerman, Nora Zuckerman, Matt Owens, and George Kitson.
I wish them all the best of luck and the most successful careers, hopefully including many more seasons of Agents of SHIELD.

Dear creators and makers of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,
You know, it’s surprisingly difficult to pick some particularly likeable part or aspect of the show. I can only congratulate you for the highly professional work. I mean, when something is false you can feel it right away, and it’s not the case here. The show is a harmony, like a really good piece of music performed by a world-class orchestra. Love it as a whole and in parts.
I love your intelligent writing. Love it that there’s some comic relief even in the darkest moments of the show. Hunter and Dr. Radcliffe were especially good at delivering punch lines with straight faces, I miss them.
Being a biochemist myself, I cannot help noticing some goofs in a sci-fi background, but, despite that, something about the show is frighteningly believable.
I love the plot dynamics for every season, it’s always a multimodal curve with unexpected peaks, turns and slopes. Got me hooked right from the start.
I absolutely love Coulson. I don’t know why, the handsome part maybe. (Spoiler: definitely so.) He’s your major asset, a combination of a great character and a great portrayal. Heart, determination, decisiveness, endless loyalty, preparedness to take responsibility even when he’s not formally in charge – all I’d wish to see in my own boss. In a long run I love it that he’s very human, complicated and unpredictable, not your plain boring classical hero. Please keep Coulson around as long as you have imagination to create something new for the Marvel Universe.
I’d be thrilled to perhaps see in future episodes some adventures related to an Inhuman in Moscow that you mentioned in season 4.
To sum up, thanks a lot guys and keep going. Here’s for another 100!
