The Batwoman series is growing its cast as production on the pilot is approaching and we now know one of the supporting players on the show! Rachel Skarsten (Birds of Prey) has been cast in the role of DC character Alice, Batwoman’s own personal Joker in her life as Alice shares a deep connection with our hero Kate. The show describes their take on Alice as follows by Warner Bros. TV and The CW:
“If Batwoman had a Joker, it would be Alice, the leader of her Lewis Carroll–inspired Wonderland Gang. Swinging unpredictably between maniacal and charming, Alice has made it her mission to undermine Gotham’s sense of security.”
“Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope. Based on the characters from DC.”
