Stan Lee’s Comikaze has become a Halloween tradition in Los Angeles. Each year the pop culture convention put on by Stan The Man attracts more fans and more cosplayers. 2015 was no exception.
The Marvel Report put out the word that we would be hosting a Marvel cosplay meetup on Saturday afternoon and our fans did not disappoint. Marvel men, women, heroes and villains combined to make for some good times and fantastic photos.
Thank you to everyone who came out! We will also be at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest November 21/22 in San Jose. We plan to do a Marvel cosplay group meetup some time on Sunday (time TBD) and The Flash Podcast will do a DC group shoot on Saturday (time TBD). Stay tuned for more information very soon!
Stan Lee and Elvira are mainstays at Comikaze. But this year a new celebrity was added that particularly grabbed our attention. Here is a photo of TMR reporter Gavin Richter along with none other than Grumpy Cat! She was SO adorable!
Stan Lee’s Comikaze is Los Angeles’ first multi-media pop culture convention, held annually at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Comikaze assembles the most exciting and innovative in comics, video games, sci-fi, fantasy, horror and all things pop-culture, making Stan Lee’s Comikaze Los Angeles’ ultimate comic con and pop-culture convention.
Partnering with comic legend Stan Lee himself and Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Comikaze is the only pop-culture convention owned and operated by true pop-culture icons. After spending much time researching both local and national conventions in the United States, Regina Carpinelli, the co-founder and CCO of Comikaze Entertainment Inc, and the rest of the Comikaze team have crafted an event that will thrill and excite even the most casual comic fan.
Having attracted 62,000 fans from around the country in our fourth year, Stan Lee’s Comikaze is quickly growing into one of the most diverse and celebrated geek and pop-culture events in the United States. Our 2014 event housed over 600 diverse artists and vendors, selling exclusive, rare and limited editions of comics, collectibles, art, toys and other hard-to-find merchandise.
