This past weekend the eyes of the comic book community were focused on Chicago, as the annual C2E2 Convention was held at the South Building At McCormick Place. As fans have come to expect over the years, Marvel had a large presence at the show, with several announcements over the course of the three day event. The latest variant cover theme was unveiled, as July was deemed “Mighty Men of Marvel” month.
Fresh off of this month’s “Women of Power” theme of variant covers, Marvel has decided to let the boys get in on the fun. There’s a catch though! For those that want to see a lot of your favorite superheroes without their shirts on you’re in luck, as July’s “Mighty Men of Marvel” covers are supposed to appeal to those that can’t get enough of their sexy superheroes. As you’ll see below, some of these covers hit the mark, while others don’t come close to pulling off the sexy.
These covers will be found as variants for twenty of Marvel’s titles in July. You can find the complete list of titles and artists below, and sixteen of the twenty covers. My only question is one I’m sure some of you are asking right now. How can they be doing these covers without Kevin Wada?
