Jean, just like Iceman and Weapon has an extensive history. She first debuted way back in 1963 in X-Men #1 as one of the founding members of the X-Men. From there, she has gone through many changes. She became evil, died, resurrected, died again, and returned to life like clockwork. Now, just like Iceman, there’s a past version of her roaming around. Will this series mark the return of adult Jean or will teen Jean be the focus? Who knows. Though, it’s likely teen Jean will take the spotlight this time around.
It’s significant to note that this will be Jean Grey’s very first ongoing series. She had a one-shot in the past, but this will be a first for the character. It’s hard not to be a little excited about this. So no matter which version we’re dealing with, Jean Grey #1 will be her first title in her over 50 year history.
Jean Grey will debut alongside Iceman and Weapon X as new ongoing titles under the ResurrXion brand. Just like the previous announcements, no further details have been mentioned yet.
