Toy Fair

This Week in Collectibles: New York Toy Fair Edition

Marvel Legends Figures

Toy Fair brought us a literal ton of figures from both the Marvel Legends line and the Marvel Select line. Here’s the Marvel Legends figure reveals we got.

Ex Nihilo and Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 2

So this one came out of left field after the Wave 2 announcement was leaked but it, is in fact, a thing. Ex Nihilo will be coming with the future Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 2 set. I don’t know the character honestly so I really can’t say too much other than he’s really gold.

Then we got a look at the rest of wave 2 as well at Toy Fair. Gamora is in this wave so that is awesome. I’m actually more excited for the Adam Warlock figure that comes with a Magus head to swap out. The line includes Star-Lord, Rocket and Baby Groot, Gamora, and Nebula from the movie as well as Ex Nihilo, Death’s Head II, and Adam Warlock/Magus. Also, the Build-A-Figure in this wave is Mantis from the movie. Thanks to Marvel Toy News for the pictures.

 Marvel Legends Ego 2-Pack

This did not come as a surprise honestly. The reason Ego isn’t being sold separately is the fact that I don’t think Marvel holds the full rights to the character, along the same line as Spider-Man and Iron Man being paired together for Homecoming. But here’s the details for the upcoming Father/Son 2-Pack.

Ego will have 2 heads, a standard head and what looks to be the most disappointed/disgusted face I’ve ever seen on a figure. Honestly, I can’t stop laughing at it. But we also get Star-Lord, so I’d say pick this pack up and skip the regular Star-Lord figure unless there is something different about them.

Star-Lord comes with his Element Blasters and a masked version of his head.

Marvel Legends Spider-Man Wave 2

This essentially follows up the previous post as it reveals the rest of the line for Spider-Man: Homecoming with some non-movie characters. The rest of the line includes Moon Knight (with his weapons), Tombstone, Beetle, and Captain Universe AKA Cosmic Spider-Man (With extra heads). Also, we got a first look at Vulture’s Flight Pack which is the Build-A-Figure for this line.

Marvel Legends Netflix Daredevil…And Jessica Jones too, Don’t forget about Jessica

These have been in demand since the partnership with Netflix began. And finally, we get a first look at 4 of the figures. We have Elektra, Punisher, Jessica Jones, and our 3rd Daredevil Netflix figure this year. All of them look great and I bet the cast of these shows are looking forward to picking themselves up soon. The only thing I will say is that the Punisher’s face looks a little too blank for my liking. Let me know if you feel the same way too.

Marvel Legends Lady Thor & The A-Force

This is fantastic and I am super happy that this is actually happening. Lady Thor will appear later this year with the Thor: Ragnarok line but to make this even better is that the A-Force will be getting their own exclusive set, minus Lady Thor. The set will be exclusive to Toys R Us and will include Lady Loki, Lady Sif, Spectrum, Elsa Bloodstone, and She-Hulk!

Marvel Legends Human Torch, Mary Jane, Vulture, and 2 Spider-Men?

There really isn’t much to say about these figures other than the Mary Jane one is the first non-movie Legends figure, first new Human Torch Legends figure in awhile, and take a look at the wingspan on Vulture!

Marvel Legends Dark Phoenix and Cyclops

So here’s another 2-Pack featuring another iconic Marvel couple except one is evil and holding a flaming chicken, which is awesome mind you, and the other is Cyclops. Not much more information was given so here are the pictures.
