Welcome back True Believers. Recently, we got a sneak peek at Marvel’s Spider-Man, the upcoming Spider-Man animated reboot. While on the surface this may seem like a way to make a cartoon more like the film, I believe it could be much more. Characters like Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen are rumored to have a big role in the show, but the only confirmed character outside of Peter himself is Max Modell. He is a newer addition to the Spider-Man supporting cast in the comics and won’t be in the upcoming film. This all leads me to believe that this new show will be in a world of its own. That got me thinking: who else would I like to see have their own show in this world? Here are my personal top 5 options!
5. Captain Marvel
With her also having an upcoming film, now would be a good time for the Captain to finally get her own show. I could see it going many ways. They could focus on her time with the Air Force, SHIELD, SWORD or just as a superhero. My personal suggestion would be to focus on her time with SWORD. It would allow them to delve more into her origins and explore the cosmic side of this world. Also, if they go this route, they could have her lead a team of powered agents. They couldn’t go with Alpha Flight because of the rights issues. However, they could use other Marvel characters. This show could be like a mixture of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series. The only reason why this is low on the list is because Carol is currently a member of the Avengers in their other animated world.
