2. Young Avengers
One of the big selling points of Ultimate Spider-Man was the team element. In my mind, that proves that we are ready for an animated show about a team of young superheroes. I think Young Avengers would be perfect for this. They are a team of young heroes that homage the original Avengers, so I would start with the original line up from the comics and go from there. Like the current Avengers cartoon and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, you could rotate some of the members. They could maybe even bring in a couple young heroes who have yet to be part of the Young Avengers. One of which could even be a member of the Spider family to tie it into the Spider-Man show. I realize one or two of the members might need a bit of altering because of rights issues, but they are easy to work around. The Young Avengers are primed for an animated show. The have the light heartedness of the current Marvel cartoons, but also incorporate more mature elements you’d find in classic shows Avatar: The Last Airbender, Young Justice and the 90’s X-Men cartoon. Also, with Young Justice returning soon, I can’t think of a better time for these heroes animated debut.
