Oh boy True Believers! D23’s live action panel yesterday brought with it actual footage of the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War. While there were no phones allowed in the panel, the reactions sent the internet into a frenzy and the speculation has officially begun for just what will happen during Infinity War (bearded Steve? Blonde Natasha? a Wakandan army?). That wasn’t the only surprise that Marvel had up it’s sleeve however as Saturday was given over to Josh Brolin, also known as Thanos, who signed at the booth after the panel. He wasn’t the only guest however as the Marvel booth introduced Thanos’s “Black Order”, also known as Thanos’s children.

The “Black Order” is a supervillain team working directly with the “mad titan” who demand tribute from the worlds that they slaughter as their “father” attempts to give the universe to death as a gift. The Mad Titan’s love affair with the otherworldly being is well known, but Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, and Cull Obsidian are new faces to the MCU and entirely terrifying. With rumors of Thanos throwing moons to stop the Avengers, the Black Order will clearly be a part of Infinity War as previously rumored. They look great!

With the Black Order being referred to as Thanos’s children, it throws Gamora and Nebula into a very interesting place story wise. Did they know Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive? Were they slated to become heavy hitters in the MCU just like these giants? Clearly Infinity War is shaping up to be much more of a family affair then previously anticipated, particularly for Thanos and his “daughters”.
