While we’re still a year away from the release of the upcoming Titans streaming series, the new DC drama is less than a week away from starting production. The other week our friends at That Hashtag Show reported that the DC drama is possibly introducing Elasti–Girl who is a member of the Doom Patrol in the comics.
The Doom Patrol consists of heroes who are known as outcasts and social misfits as they protect the society that rejects them. While it has yet to be confirmed if Elasti-Girl is indeed the “Jennifer Andrews” character that they’re casting, it looks like Titans might feature the Doom Patrol in some capacity.
Geoff Johns, DC Films co-head and executive producer of the series, recently tweeted Ryan Potter, who will be playing Beast Boy, as they met the other day for the series. In Johns’ response, the producer mentioned some of the things they discussed which included Doom Patrol.
My pleasure! Loved talking all things #BeastBoy!! ? Green tigers, Doom Patrol and Halo. We’re going to have a blast. ????? #Titans

While we can only guess what they discussed in details, it definitely seems like we’ll be seeing the Doom Patrol, hence the addition of Elasti-Girl. It should be noted that in the comics, Beast Boy was a member of that group too.
“Titans explores one of the most popular comic book teams ever. It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.”
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan K. Potter, Minka Kelly, Alan Ritchson, and Lindsey Gort as Dick Grayson a.k.a. Nightwing, Princess Koriand’r a.k.a. Starfire, Rachel Roth a.k.a. Raven, Garfield Logan a.k.a. Beast Boy, Hank Hall a.k.a. Hawk, Dawn Granger a.k.a. Dove and Detective Amy Rohrbach respectively. Johns, Akiva Goldsman, Greg Berlanti wrote the pilot and are attached as executive producers with Sarah Schechter.
