The CW is less than two away from debuting its fifth DC Comics drama, with Salim and Mara Brock Akil’s Black Lightning! Despite of that, we still have information on the second episode that will air on January 23!
The network has released official promotional photos along with the episode synopsis for episode 2 titled “LaWanda: The Book of Hope” which deals with the events of the series premiere when Jefferson Pierce steps out of the shadows to become the iconic hero he once was.

Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) try to deal with the aftermath of their jolting experience. Damon Gupton and Marvin Jones III also star.
