We have been hearing for the last little bit that Supergirl may be appearing in Superman: Legacy. This may become true as we are hearing multiple names potentially test screening. Deadline reports that Milly Alcock, Emilia Jones & Meg Donnelly are in the mix to screen test for the Girl of Steel. After seeing her in House Of The Dragon, I wanted Milly to become our new Supergirl. It’s crazy to see that my fan cast may come true. Whoever is selected from the names listed, or not listed will be Supergirl for quite some time. With Supergirl’s movie being announced early on in this new DCU continuity, it would seem she will have a significant role in this new timeline.

James Gunn has been very adamant about responding to rumors and “news” coming out about the new DC universe he is building. He may even respond to this piece of news, and that is fine. As they say, where there is smoke, there has to be fire. We have heard from multiple places Supergirl is appearing in Superman: Legacy. This is looking to be accurate, and I’m guessing it’s a small role to set her film Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow.
Meg Donnelly is already familiar with the role of Supergirl. She voices her in the Tomorrowverse animated DC films. It would be interesting to see her play Kara in live-action. I am excited in general for this new DC universe. The DCEU tried and ultimately failed. We had potential there, but it didn’t reach it. I have faith in James Gunn, and I look forward to seeing the beginning of the DCU.
