Welcome to the inaugural edition of “Pages & Panels: The Best of Marvel Comics.” As the name suggests this column will feature a look at the best pages and panels of the week, as chosen by The Marvel Report staff. The selections, just like Marvel Comics as a whole, will run the gamut from heartfelt, to funny, and everything between. Not only will the biggest, and most important moments of the week be highlighted, but quieter moments as well.
To make matters even more interesting you the readers will have a say in what gets crowned as Panel of The Week. Make sure to vote for your favorite in the poll, and also stay tuned to future installments of this column for information on how the Panel of The Week will lead to Panel of The Month, and eventually The Marvel Report’s first Panel Supreme.

1). THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #3

Why: I am still warming up to the new direction for The Amazing Spider-Man, but this scene really shows why I love Peter Parker. Peter cares about his friends! Johnny and Peter have an awesome bromance, and it really shines in The Amazing Spider-Man #3 – Kathryn

Why: This may not even feature the title character, but the wrestling fan in me loves the fact that CM Punk managed to make “It’s Clobberin’ Time” the first line of his first ongoing Marvel series – John
Why: Whether it’s Ronan in the movie, or Thanos in the comics, revenge is Drax’s favorite pastime – John
4). EXTRAORDINARY X-MEN #1

Art by Humberto Ramos
Why: The superstar creative team of Jeff Lemire and Humberto Ramos launched the new flagship X-Men title with a recruitment drive reminiscent of the classic Giant Sized X-Men #1. How can anyone say no to Storm when she’s rocking the mohawk, and looking as awesome as Ramos makes her? This shot is a good example that while Humberto Ramos is best known as one of the best Spider-Man artists of all time, but he still pencils one heck of a X-Men comic – John
5-6). INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #3

Why: Just how great is this? Now imagine if it was Robert Downey Jr., and Benedict Cumberbatch on the big screen – John
Why: In three short issues Brian Bendis and David Marquez have brought the Tony Stark of the comic books closer to the spirit of his cinematic counterpart than ever before. This panel is a testament to this, and also serves as a special treat for Marvel fans who whispered to friends around the world following Captain America: The Winter Soldier – John
7). UNCANNY X-MEN #600
