There’s a certain God of Thunder that’s hitting the silver screen this weekend. To celebrate the long-awaited “Thor: Ragnarok,” the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is looking to add some tie-in content.
On Wednesday morning, Warner Bros. and TT Games released a special vignette centered around Thor’s latest movie-based adventure. Just like in the movie, Thor will look to stop the threat of the demonic Surtur. While he’ll still be joined by the Hulk and Loki, the game will also bring along the rest of the Marvel Universe’s mightiest heroes, like Captain Marvel, Captain America, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Just like in the movie, the heroes will find themselves in the middle of the Grandmaster’s gladiator arena. The big difference here, though, is that instead of fighting one Hulk, the heroes will face off against multiple versions of the Hulk.
There are also plenty of Easter eggs to be found in this short video, including the many faces of Thor. That’s the Odindon, Beta Ray Bill, Frog Thor, and the more recent Jane Foster version of Thor.
“Thor: Ragnarok” won’t be the only MCU movie getting special content in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. The Deluxe Edition of the game, which includes a Season Pass, will also include post-release DLC centered around next year’s “Black Panther,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Ant-Man and The Wasp” movies. No pricing was given for the a la carte Season Pass, but the Deluxe Edition of the game is set to retail for $74.99.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is almost here. It’s set to come to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on November 14.
